With more relatives, there are more shoulders to cry on during difficult times, which creates a feeling of comfort and protectiveness. Another advantage that an extended family can provide is that everyone shares responsibilities, such as child care support, adult care giving or housework sharing. Although the benefits of living in an extended family are real, it's important to consider some disadvantages this type of family structure might have. First, because there are many people sharing the same living space, it might be challenging to have personal space and enjoy privacy. Second, in an extended family, it might be difficult to make a decision that satisfies everyone because of different viewpoints and preferences.

Living in an extended family can be beneficial and challenging. It is important to find a balance between the pros and cons.
